Kanchipuram Shankaracharya Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal performed the seven-mountain elephant procession at Tirumala on Sunday.
In this regard, after worshipping the flag tree, going inside and worshipping the seven-mountain elephant, the temple officials presented him with sesha vestra, tirtha prasadam, and other offerings.
Later, at the Kanchi Math, the chairman of the Devasthanam Trust Committee, PR Naidu, paid a courtesy call on Vijayendra Saraswathi Swami. The Swamiji bestowed blessings on the chairman on this occasion.
At the event, Swamigal said: The recent decisions taken by the new trustee committee of the temple are commendable. The decision to protect the sanctity of Tirumala and benefit the devotees is commendable. He said that steps should be taken to make Tirumala a more beautiful temple and to strive for the spread of Vedic education.
